Changes to train timetables from 13–19 April

The changes are due to infrastructure works by AS Eesti Raudtee and construction works on Rail Baltica.

The impact of track work is extensive and affects both eastbound and westbound train traffic. The changes include temporary bus replacements and disruptions to international services. Timetables are attached to the email.

Main changes between 13–19 April:

  • Tapa – Aegviidu section:
    All journeys (including Tallinn–Narva, Tallinn–Tartu/Koidula/Valga, Tallinn–Tapa and Tallinn–Rakvere directions) will be served by buses. Train traffic will resume on the morning of April 20th.
  • Tartu – Valga section
    All journeys will be serviced by buses from April 13th to April 16th. Train services will resume on April 17th.
  • Tartu – Koidula direction:
    On the Tartu – Reola section, passengers will be served by buses from 13th to 16th April, with trains running on the Reola – Koidula section. Normal traffic will resume on 17th April.
  • Tallinn – Lagedi stretch (Ülemiste station works):
    From 13th to 19th April, select early morning and late evening departures will be served by buses.
  • Tallinn – Narva Line (last departures of the day):
    From 13th to 19th April, the Narva – Aegviidu section will be served by buses.

International traffic:

  • From 12th to 17th April, international train connections will be suspended on the following routes:
    • Narva – Riga – Vilnius
    • Tallinn – Riga – Vilnius
    • Tallinn – Tartu – Riga
    • Tallinn – Tartu – Valga – Riga
  • On 18–19 April, international journeys will be partially serviced on the Vilnius/Riga – Tartu route.
  • The train connection between Tallinn and Riga will be restored from April 20th.
