The Police and Border Guard Board and the Valga Rural Municipality Government invite the residents of Valga to a community meeting

Headed Valga residents!

The tragic event that took place in our city last week has affected everyone. It is completely understandable and human that such an act causes uncertainty, fear, and many questions within the community. Above all, we extend our deepest condolences to the victim's loved ones.

The police have responded with a large force, and by today, suspects related to the incident have been apprehended and taken into custody. The immediate threat to our people has passed.

We understand that regaining a sense of security takes time, and there are still concerns and questions to discuss together. Therefore, the Police and Border Guard Board and the Valga Rural Municipality Government are inviting the local community to a meeting. We emphasise that local residents who wish to share their concerns and ask questions in a safe environment are welcome at the meeting.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, 9th April at 6 p.m. at the Valga Cultural Centre.

We create security together.
