Valga Municipality is looking for a motivated and qualified spatial data specialist to join its team to help the municipality make better use of the geographic information needed to support public services.

Your role is..

.As a spatial data specialist, to collect, analyse and manage spatial data, applying them to improve various public services and solve spatial problems.

Your role is..

  • Collection, management, and mapping of spatial data.;
  • conducting geospatial analyses to improve public services;
  • Consideration in developing spatial data strategies and policies;
  • technical support for various officials in the use of spatial data;
  • cooperation with other institutions and partners in the field of space data.

We expect you to:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (geography, geoinformatics, spatial analysis, etc);
  • Work experience in spatial data analysis and utilisation;
  • What is your understanding of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software and tools (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS);
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Creation and coordination of web applications used as work tools;
  • We can work independently and participate in teamwork;
  • Good communication skills in Estonian and, if necessary, English.

You will benefit from:
