Your role is..
...to be an early warning and preventer, a champion of children's interests and their voice, a supporter of families and a creator and coordinator of cooperation.
Your main duties will be to:
- counselling and support for children and families;
- case-based work in assessing and intervening in children's needs;
- coordinating support and social services where necessary;
- submitting submissions to the court and preparing other necessary documents, representation in court.
We expect you to:
- a university degree in social work, social policy, education or psychology (or equivalent qualification);
- willingness to obtain a qualification as a social worker specialising in child protection within two years of starting work;
- knowledge of social and child protection legislation;
- proficiency in Estonian;
- Russian language skills at communication level;
- good listening, communication and self-expression skills;
- commitment, empathy, conscientiousness and correctness;
- cooperation and motivation;
- Category B driving licence.
It gives you an advantage when applying:
- previous experience in child protection or social work;
- ability to use computer programmes, including STAR and Amphora.
