Your role is..

...to be an early warning and preventer, a champion of children's interests and their voice, a supporter of families and a creator and coordinator of cooperation.

Your main duties will be to:

  • counselling and support for children and families;
  • case-based work in assessing and intervening in children's needs;
  • coordinating support and social services where necessary;
  • submitting submissions to the court and preparing other necessary documents, representation in court. 

We expect you to:

  • a university degree in social work, social policy, education or psychology (or equivalent qualification); 
  • willingness to obtain a qualification as a social worker specialising in child protection within two years of starting work; 
  • knowledge of social and child protection legislation;
  • proficiency in Estonian;
  • Russian language skills at communication level;
  • good listening, communication and self-expression skills;
  • commitment, empathy, conscientiousness and correctness;
  • cooperation and motivation;
  • Category B driving licence.

It gives you an advantage when applying:

  • previous experience in child protection or social work;
  • ability to use computer programmes, including STAR and Amphora.
