Taheva Valla Villages Association

Ühingu eesmärgiks on Taheva piirkonna külaelu arendamine ja piirkonna konkurentsivõime tõstmine, endistes Hargla kihelkonna piirides elavate inimeste elukvaliteedi parandamine ja vaba aja veetmise-, kultuuri-, sportimise- jms võimaluste loomine ja mitmekesistamine, kohaliku kultuuri-, paikkonna ja ajalooga seotud inimeste ühendamine, nende huvide eest seismine, vastavasisuliste ürituste korraldamine, harimine ja koolitamine, suhtlemine teiste sarnaste seltsidega jms. Selle  saavutamiseks teostatakse muuhulgas järgmisi tegevusi: korraldatakse teemakohaseid üritusi, külakoosolekuid; koostatakse vastavaid trükiseid ja infomaterjale; koostatakse projektitaotlusi eesmärkide elluviimiseks vajalike vahendite hankimiseks.

Hargla Village Association

The association operates in Hargl and raises funds for its activities mainly through project applications. The members of the association work on a voluntary basis. The objectives of the association are to promote the cultural life of the village of Hargla, to raise the values of the people of the village, to create a sense of unity and a sense of home among the local population.

Tsirgumäe Food Village MTÜ

The aim of the NGO is to create a food garden, which will be a forest park planted with plants that are useful to humans (edible, medicinal, for heating or as building materials) as well as plants that are necessary for the holistic functioning of the food garden, mimicking natural ecosystems and patterns in the planting principles. The establishment of a food garden is a process that takes many years and involves several stages of planning. The first stage was the decision to create an agroforestry, where a variety of cereals and vegetables are sown between the apple trees. All the major work needed on the food plot is done by horse power, with several people trained in the team. 

NGO Friends of the Pool

The NGO was set up with the aim of creating new opportunities for activities of interest in the local area. The NGO is in the process of setting up the Kalliküla Hobby Centre. Soon, a sawmill and woodworking facilities will be ready, where everyone will be able to cut and plane their own wood into lumber. The Hobby Centre will initially have space and equipment for hobbyists. Rooms for mechanics are also being planned. Another area the NGO is working on is community youth. Training courses, camps, recreational activities and the development of a Gaia class for young people.

In the longer term, the idea is to develop the Kirepi farm complex in a way that will help local entrepreneurs bring their products directly to consumers.

Koikküla Village Association

The aim of the Village Association is to promote the cultural life of the village of Koikküla, to raise the values of the village residents, and to create a sense of unity among the local residents.

Tsirgumäe-Sooblase Village Society Association

The aims of the association are to maintain the vitality of Tsirgumäe and Sooblase villages, to revitalise local cultural life, to broaden the horizons of the villagers and to enrich their knowledge.

Society Hargla Countrymen's Club

The aim of the association is to offer new knowledge in the fields of handicraft, cooking, dancing-singing, games, gardening, etc., and to organise lectures, excursions and meetings.

Hargla Hunting Club Non-profit organisation

The non-profit organisation has 25 members. The main activity is hunting, but since 2008 the NGO has made a significant contribution to the development of Tsirgumäe-Sooblase village life. With the help of a grant, a community centre was built in Sooblase village, completed in 2010.

NGO Friends of the Hargla Region

Non-profit organisation Parmu Eco Village

The NGO Parmu Eco Village is located within the villages of Tsirgumäe, Sooblase, Hargla and Tõrvasõ. People with a green mindset live and work in the eco-village and their primary goal is a nature-friendly existence. The work takes into account national experiences and culture. All the work tries to be done by 'bone-steam'. This does not mean that modern tools and technologies cannot be used. People move around the village on foot, bicycle, boat, skis or horse. Modern means of communication are used. The energy needed to power them must be provided by alternative means such as solar, wind, water or other. Activities envisaged in the eco-village: rearing of cattle for meat production, felling and maintenance of forests and extraction of forests outside the village boundaries, local procurement of food, collection of medicinal plants and food supplements, horse care, etc..
