On 3 February, Valga municipality was pleased to host the Minister of the Interior, Igor Taro, together with his advisors, and the new Prefect of the South, Vaiko Vaheri.
At the meeting, the topics of internal security in Valga municipality and what the municipality can do to make Valga municipality a safe living environment for everyone were discussed. It is good to see that the SPIN programme is working successfully in Valga, and that the activities of the Security Development Programme will also be launched soon.
At the meeting, the Prefect of the South confirmed that the operational capacity of the state has not been cut and that police patrols in Valga are still fully guaranteed.
In the second half of the meeting, the crisis committee of Valga municipality met to discuss the municipality's crisis preparedness. Committee members had the opportunity to share their observations, concerns and positive experiences.
