The Valga Municipality Culture and Education Service is looking to recruit a Psychologist (part-time or full-time).
Your main tasks will be:
- Supporting the development of pupils and children in kindergartens in Valga municipality schools in cooperation with parents and educators, involving specialists from other disciplines as necessary;
- assessing the factors influencing the child's development, working together with parents, childcare and education staff and other professionals to find solutions;
- psychological counselling for children and young people to help them deal with their personal and educational concerns, supporting the development of their mental health, self-awareness and social skills;
- participating in the network of cooperation around the child, including the preparation of a case plan and accompanying action plan;
- counselling parents on factors affecting their child's mental health, learning and behaviour;
- advising and training children's and educational staff in the field and jointly planning prevention work;
- completing professional documentation and reporting.
We're waiting for you if:
- You have a Master's degree or equivalent qualification or a qualification as a school psychologist;
- you have an advanced level of Estonian and at least one foreign language at intermediate level;
- You can easily connect with children and maintain a relationship of trust;
- Your good communication and self-expression skills are the basis for successful cooperation with parents and other specialists, good ability to work under pressure, initiative and decision-making, empathy.
