A parking card for a vehicle serving a person with reduced mobility or a person who is blind is designed to make it easier for a person with a visual impairment or reduced mobility to move around. You can apply for a parking card at the municipality where you live.

You can apply for a parking card if you have.

  • an abnormality of mobility or visual function corresponding to a moderate, severe or profound disability; or
  • a temporary abnormality of motor function requiring the use of a mobility aid or a temporary abnormality of visual function.

The parking card is issued for the period of validity of the degree of disability indicated on the disability certificate, but for no longer than five years.

Temporary parking card is issued on the basis of a certificate from a specialist or general practitioner for the period during which the abnormality is likely to persist, but for no longer than six months. On the basis of a certificate from a specialist or family doctor, the temporary parking card may be extended for a further period of up to six months. This means that a temporary parking card will be issued a maximum of two times, but for no longer than 12 months.
