The Valga Rural Municipality Government invites representatives from rural areas to apply for membership in the committee for determining cultural support and the community committee.
We welcome applications from people who know the life and people of their region. You are familiar with local initiatives and needs, and you want to contribute to the cultural and community life of Valga municipality. The municipality council and municipality government have already appointed their own representatives to the committees, so representatives of the regions who are not members or employees of the municipality council or municipality government are welcome to apply.
You live and work in one of the following areas:
- Tõlliste region
- Karula region
- Taheva region
- Õru region
Representatives of the Õru, Taheva and Karula regions are expected to participate in both committees, as well as a representative of the Tõlliste region in the cultural grants committee and the city of Valga in the community committee.
The members of the Committees participate in the work of the Commission, including the evaluation of applications, and contribute to a transparent decision-making process that takes into account the needs of the regions.
To apply, please send:
- the name and contact details of the applicant;
- the region or regions represented;
- committee preference: cultural grants committee or community committee;
- a short justification or introduction (why you would like to be part of the committee, previous involvement in writing/evaluating projects, etc.).
Proposals should be sent by the candidates themselves no later than 11 March 2026 to the following e-mail address. .
By contributing to the work of the Commission, you will help to ensure that the cultural and community projects funded by Valga municipality are meaningful, balanced and responsive to the voices and needs of different regions.
Please note that if you are associated with an association applying for funding under the same call, you must withdraw from the evaluation of applications when participating in the work of the committee.
