On Friday, 5 December, Valga Municipal Council held its second session of its third term, during which a new municipal government was elected. The only candidate for the post of mayor of the municipality was Mart Kase, who did not receive any objections or additional proposals. With 13 votes in favour, Mart Kase was elected Valga mayor.
Eero Stein and Jüri Konrad were elected deputy mayors. The council also confirmed three members of the municipality. Anastasija Kikkas, Katre Kikkas and Ruth Jürgens were elected as members of the municipal government.
