Climate and Energy Plan 2035 for Valga municipality
The Valga Municipality Climate and Energy Plan 2035 has been finalised. The plan will be submitted to the Valga Municipal Council for adoption. The preparation of the Valga Municipality Climate and Energy Plan, initiated on 12.12.2024, was carried out in cooperation with the Valgamaa Development Agency and the Tõrva and Otepää Municipality authorities. As a result of the cooperation, the climate and energy plan of Valga County and the climate and energy plan of each local municipality were prepared.
Public engagement events during the preparation of the plan:
- On 04.03.2025, Valga County Development Agency in cooperation with the local authorities of Valga County organised an opening seminar on the preparation of climate and energy plans at the Valga Cultural Centre.
- 04.08-17.08.2025 public consultation.
- A public consultation on the climate and energy plan was held on 25.08.2025. The public consultation was held simultaneously in three municipalities and online.

The preparation of the climate and energy plan for Valga County and its local authorities has been financed by the implementing unit of the Environmental Investment Centre through the support measure "Preparation of local energy and climate plans and enhancement of urban biodiversity" from the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.
