Joint waste management plan for the municipalities of Valgamaa 2025-2030
The Joint Waste Management Plan of the Local Governments of Valga County 2025-2030 is a document that organises and guides the waste management of the local government.Its purpose is to determine the development directions, activities and measures of waste management and, if necessary, their costs until 2030. The waste management plan of the local government unit deals with the situation of waste management on the territory covered by the plan, the objectives of organising and improving waste management and the measures for achieving the objectives.
The waste management plan has been drawn up in accordance with the requirements of the Waste Management Act, which determine the content of the waste management plan and the publication of the waste management plan. The waste management plan does not cover waste that does not fall within the scope of the Waste Act or is regulated by other laws and regulations. The strategic waste management objectives, resources and activities described in this waste management plan are subject to change as necessary. Input for the need for changes may come from changes in legislation, market situations in waste management, as well as changes in the needs and capabilities of municipalities themselves. Changes may also be brought about by unpredictable or difficult to predict changes in the political or economic spheres. The implementation of the waste management plan will be based on an action plan. The action plan will be adjusted according to needs.
