Representatives from the Ministry of Education and Research visited schools in Valga town.

On 30–31 March, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Research visited Valga Priimetsa School and Valga Põhikool to get an overview of the current situation regarding the transition to Estonian-language instruction and to discuss the schools' support needs.

During the visit, they met with representatives of the municipality, school and curriculum leaders, and teachers, and also attended Estonian language classes where pupils from multilingual backgrounds are learning.

The focus of the visit was on enhancing language learning and supporting teachers, through which students can also be better supported. The visit provided an opportunity to share and map teachers' experiences and needs, and to jointly discuss possible solutions for improving language learning.
