The forestry sector is governed by Forest Law and forest management rules
The forest owner or his/her representative must submit a forest notification to the Environment Board for planned felling in the forest either electronically completed and digitally signed or in paper form.
Provision of firewood from the municipal forest
The supply of firewood from the municipal forest is regulated by the Valga Municipality Decree " Establishment of the conditions for the sale of timber obtained from the self-supply of forests belonging to the municipality of Valga."
The current price of firewood is €20 per cubic metre, plus VAT.
To purchase firewood, an application must be submitted to the Valga Municipality Environmental Officer.
