Valga municipality has adopted a Waste Management Code, the aim of which is to maintain a clean and healthy living environment in Valga municipality, to reduce the amount of waste and to promote waste recovery. Waste sorting is compulsory for all natural and legal persons!
Public packaging containers have been placed in Valga municipality where people can take their pre-sorted waste. So collect your packaging separately and take it to the designated container!
Paper and cardboard container (blue)- Waste paper and cardboard suitable for the container (e.g.: cardboard boxes/cartons, kraft paper, clean paper packaging, newspapers, books, paper bags, etc.).
Glass packaging container (green)- Coloured and clear glass bottles/cans and other clear glass packaging are suitable. If there is no separate container for glass packaging, glass packaging must be placed in a mixed packaging container.
Mixed packaging container (yellow)- Plastic packaging (e.g. yoghurt pots, butter cartons, ketchup bottles, etc.) are suitable for mixed packaging. Also, plastic cans/cans and metal packaging (e.g. metal lids for food and beverage packaging, cork cans.

Clean and decent clothes can be donated:
- Tootsi Pocket Flea Market and Friend to Friend Shop.
- ONLY reusable clothes, bags and footwear are welcome.
- Items must be clean, intact and in good order.
