Waste disposal

The Valga municipality waste station is managed by Marico Metall OÜ. Waste from households can be disposed of free of charge at the Valga municipality waste station:

hazardous waste (e.g.: batteries, accumulators, paints, daylights, waste household chemicals, pesticides, etc.);

used tyres (private individuals can give away up to 8 tyres free of charge once a year);

consumer electronics and household appliances.

The amount of waste given away by residents is registered, so you will need to bring an identity document with you when you take your waste to the station.

Mixed municipal waste cannot normally be disposed of at the Valga waste station. Mixed municipal waste can only be handed over to the Valga waste station in exceptional cases and with the consent of the local authority.

Marico Metall OÜ also accepts scrap metal at the Valga municipality waste station. It is also possible to order a transport service from the waste station and to rent various collection containers for waste. 

If a private person wishes to drop off more than 8 passenger car tyres or other tyres (e.g.: truck or tractor tyres) at the waste collection station, he/she must inform MTÜ Rehviringlust who will issue a corresponding delivery note. See more information
