We have extended the deadline for submitting nominations for the Valga Municipality Father of the Year competition until 31 October 2025!
Valga Municipality invites nominations for the Valga Municipality election. Father of the year the competition. By awarding this honour, the municipality wishes to recognise and value family fathers who, through their daily attitudes, actions and behaviour, set an example for their children, family members and community.
The Father of the Year title is awarded to a family man who is an outstanding parent and who is recognised in his profession and in his social activities. The candidate must be a citizen of the Republic of Estonia and reside in Valga municipality.
Nominations for Father of the Year can be submitted until 20 October 2025.
Proposals for the award can be submitted in writing by e-mail to. valga@valga.ee or by sending a paper copy to Valga municipality, Puiestee 8, Valga town, Valga municipality, 68203 Valga county. It is also possible to bring the application in person to the municipality.
To apply, you need to fill in the application form, which can be downloaded here: Father of the Year questionnaire . If you wish, you can also obtain a paper copy of the form from Valga municipality.
The award ceremony will take place at a gala event on 9 November at 15:00 at the Lüllemäe Cultural Centre.
Don't hesitate to make a suggestion, so that fathers can be noticed and their commitment to the family can be properly highlighted.
