We are looking for a new director for Valga Basic School. A person who has children, learning and valuing the community at heart.
Valga Primary School is a warm and active school where every child can develop in a supportive and collaborative learning environment. The Director is responsible for the management of the Valga Basic School (Valga, Kungla tn 16), for the organisation and performance of the school's teaching and educational activities, for the general state of the school and for the lawful and expedient use of its financial resources.
The wider school leadership team includes, of course, all pupils, parents, teachers. More narrowly, the head teachers, the head of education of the municipality and the mayor. In the work of a headteacher, elbow room is so important.
Expectations of the candidate:
- a desire and willingness to lead the school in a way that is both people-centred and development-focused;
- very good communication and cooperation skills. Our Headteacher is an important member of the community
pillar;
- Master's degree or equivalent qualification;
- leadership skills;
- very good stress tolerance;
- decisiveness and initiative.
