Track and field athlete from Valga Tanel Visnap shone at the 25th Summer Deaflympics in Tokyo, bringing three gold medals to Estonia!

In the morning, Tanel was greeted at Tallinn airport by Lauri Drubinš, the chairman of the municipal council, Tõnu Vahtra, the sports and youth work specialist, Riho Meri, the athletics coach of Maret-sport, Tiit Kattai, the CEO of the Valgamaa Sports Federation, and Andero Ojamets, the communications manager.
„We are sincerely proud of Tanel. His dedication, hard work and dignified performance in the international arena are a great example for the young people of Valga municipality and the entire Estonian sports family,” said Lauri Drubinš, Chairman of the Municipal Council.
The Valga Municipality rewards Tanel for his outstanding achievements with 1800 euros and his coach Tiina with 500 euros.
