Lecture "Agricultural machinery in Valga County until 1940"

2 Oct at 16:00 in the Valga Museum will be a lecture by Kaarel Visel, curator of the collection, entitled "Agricultural machinery in Valga County until 1940", dedicated to this year's Year of Count Berg and Sangaste Rye.

In addition to his pioneering and innovative agricultural solutions, Count Berg held a number of patents and introduced new equipment to the farming community. Self-propelled steam boilers became particularly popular. Some useful things were provided by the Helme Farmers' Association. Development continued during the Republic of Estonia, with the establishment of an agricultural school and tractor stations. There is also a discussion of the conditions that determined the type of equipment used and other equipment in rural life.
