Valga Municipality will publish a call for tenders in October, the tender has been prepared. In this case, as a simple call for tenders is being organised, interested parties have 10 days to submit their tenders. The contract for the provision of the animal shelter service in Valga can be awarded in October and will be valid from 8 December 2025. The current contract with the service provider is valid until 7 December.
In 2024, Valga Municipality was looking for an animal shelter service provider until 31 December 2026. Unfortunately, no tenders were received. The municipality then entered into negotiations with the NGO Varjupaikade NGO and as a result of the negotiations a contract was signed until December 2025. The preference of the municipality was for a longer contract period, but this was not agreed.
