Valga Municipality decided at its meeting on 18 September to approve grants for cultural projects submitted by 21 August 2025. A total of €8268 in cultural grants were awarded to non-profit organisations. The largest number of grants was awarded to projects in the Valga region. Grants were awarded for the organisation of the 26th edition of “Dance is the Future”, an event promoting traditional dance culture, for the production of the children's play „How the King fell on the Moon“, for the organisation of a music night organised by Carma Motoklub and for the production of the musical „Mamma Mia“ with the KunglaSenior troupe. In the Tõlliste region, a grant was awarded to Filmilubi Duubel 2 for the organisation of the music festival „NEOONREIV 2026“. In the Karula region, a grant was awarded to organise a Christmas event and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the dance group „Meie Memmed“.
