Today, 1 April, the Estonian Football Association, led by its President Aivar Pohlak, met with the Valga Municipality Government, Valga Sport and the football clubs of Valga Municipality at the Valga Town Hall. They discussed the need to replace the artificial turf pitch on Kungla Street, the possibility of bringing a major football match or tournament to Valga, and the role and importance of football in integration and language learning. We dreamed of the possibility of opening a joint Estonian-Latvian football curriculum at the vocational training centre in years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President of the Estonian Football Association, Aivar Pohlak, also presented the Mayor of Valga, Mart Kask, with a jersey from the Estonian national team. Mart and Aivar have known each other for almost 30 years; the mayor actively played football in his youth and also played for the Estonian youth teams and in the Estonian football league.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
