On 5 January 2026, an Elron train arrived at Valga railway station, officially opening the Tartu-Ria express train line. This is an important step in strengthening the role of Valga as a border town and railway hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The arriving train was greeted by the dancers of Studio JOY, and emphasizing the importance of the train connection, the Mayor of Valga Municipality Mart Kase and the Chairman of Valka Municipal Council Vents Armands Krauklis gave a speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
