At the end of July, Valga Municipality submitted a project grant application to the State Support Services Centre for the construction of a new community centre in Tsirguliina. The plan is to build a new near-zero energy building, which will be issued with an A class energy label. The new building will have a size of 426,7 m2 and will be located in the centre of the village, next to the school. The chosen solution will increase the intensity of use and cross-use of the premises. The existing dilapidated community centre building will be demolished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monika Rogenbaum, Mayor of Valga municipality, said that the municipality has received the green light from the donor for several important projects and objects. \u201eThese are not just buildings, they are local landmarks, town and village centres, regional and stakeholder meeting places. In addition to the sports building of the Priimetsa school, the youth centre, the music school, the L\u00fcllem\u00e4e and Tsirguliina schools, the swimming pool, the Buratino kindergarten, the Tsirguliina cultural temple will now have a completely new and modern solution. Successful projects are proof of the good work of the municipality, which has been noticed by evaluators and donors. Many thanks to everyone who has thought and worked to help Valga municipality develop,\u201c said the Mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The budget for the Tsirguliina community centre has been estimated at just over \u20ac1 million, of which \u20ac700 000 will come from grants and \u20ac300 000 will be covered by self-financing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the construction project for the community centre is already complete, a call for tenders for the construction works can be published shortly and the works can be scheduled for next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total eligible cost of the project is \u20ac1 005 337.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grant rate is 70 percent of the eligible costs of the project, up to a maximum of EUR 703 735,90.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minimum rate of co-financing is 30 percent of the eligible costs of the project, with a minimum of EUR 301 601,10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The construction of a nearly zero-energy building will be supported by the Estonian state from the proceeds of EU greenhouse gas emission allowance trading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
