Valga Municipality awarded grants for community development projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At its meeting on 18 September, the municipality decided to fund eight community development projects submitted by the deadline of 21 August for a total amount of \u20ac5,979.87.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For example, the Friends of the Valga Museum Association received a grant for the project \u201eMarking the Neuland Oak\u201c, which celebrates the 130th anniversary of Alfred Neuland's birth. As part of the project, a commemorative plaque will be unveiled at the oak tree planted by Neuland at P\u00e4rna pst 20, Valga and a commemorative evening will be organised at the Valga Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Support was also given to LC Valga S\u00e4de MT\u00dc, which for the third year in a row is organising a children's mental health conference in November. This year's theme is \u201cThe thread of experience: wisdom that carries through life\u201d. The event will bring together parents, teachers, youth and,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
health and social care professionals from all over Estonia to share knowledge and practical skills on how to better support the emotional development of children and young people. A symbolic hook as a tool will be given to the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next deadline for community development grant applications is 20 November. Projects must be submitted via the SPOKU application tool, which can be found on the Valga municipality website valga.ee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
