{"id":2582,"date":"2024-03-05T10:26:00","date_gmt":"2024-03-05T08:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valga.ee\/?p=2582"},"modified":"2026-03-12T11:42:24","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T09:42:24","slug":"green-log","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/valga.ee\/en\/green-log\/","title":{"rendered":"GREEN-LOG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The aim of the project:<\/strong> Accelerating systemic change to create economically, ecologically and socially sustainable last-mile delivery systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project activities:<\/strong> The GREEN-LOG project will create a LAAS (Logistics-as-a-Service) platform for interconnected urban logistics, using automated delivery concepts using autonomous vehicles and drones, freight-cycling-based innovations and multimodal parcel delivery systems integrated into the public transport network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GREEN-LOG approach creates a state-of-the-art simulation environment for different scenarios. By combining different solutions, last-mile delivery modes will be tested with the highest possible impact on environmental sustainability and traffic reduction, while also taking into account the financial viability of the solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solutions will be underpinned by networked urban logistics data spaces to help proactively optimise services while respecting the interests of stakeholders, including consumers, businesses and the city. A planning and decision-making support framework will help stakeholders to tailor solutions to their real objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GREEN-LOG approach will be tested in living laboratories covering different situations and economic and social conditions in five cities or peri-urban areas: Athens, Barcelona, Flanders (Ghent, Leuven and Mechelen), Oxfordshire and Ispra. The living laboratories will allow to collect qualitative and quantitative results, to validate effectiveness and to demonstrate transferability in three follow-up cities: Arad, Helsinborg and Valga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project partners:<\/strong> The project consortium consists of <a href=\"https:\/\/greenlog-project.eu\/partners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">29 partners<\/a>.
