The deadline for submitting grant applications is&nbsp;<strong>30 April 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the grant is to contribute to the preservation of the city's historic buildings while improving the public space and aesthetics of the city centre. Decree of the Valga Municipal Council of 26 March 2025 \"<a href=\"https:\/\/www.riigiteataja.ee\/akt\/429032025044\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Procedure for the award of grants for the renovation of external fa\u00e7ades<\/a>\" regulates the procedures for applying for, processing and using the aid, and lays down the principles governing the amount of the aid and its monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Support can be applied for buildings located on Vabaduse Street, Kesk Street, Riia Street, Raja Street and Sepa Street. By way of exception, subsidies can also be applied for auxiliary buildings and structures adjacent to the central square. State-owned or municipally-owned buildings and ancillary buildings needed to service buildings are not eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both natural and legal persons who are the owners, legal possessors or holders of a valid authorisation to carry out renovation work on a building or part of a building are eligible to apply. The maximum amount of the grant is 70% of the eligible costs, up to a maximum of EUR 4 000 per object. The grant will be paid upon completion of the works and submission of a proper report and cost documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for support must be submitted by 30 April 2025 at the latest and must be accompanied by all the supporting documents required by the Regulation. Applications will be assessed by the Planning and Environment Committee of the municipality and the decision to award or refuse the grant will be taken by the municipality on a proposal from the Planning and Environment Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A report on the use made of the grant, together with supporting documents, must be submitted no later than 30 November of the year in which the grant was awarded. The grant will be paid only on the basis of a correct report submitted by the deadline and no later than 31 December of the same year. The municipality has the right to monitor the use made of the grant, including checking the accuracy of the documents submitted and carrying out on-the-spot checks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a
