Initiation of the general plan and strategic environmental assessment of Valga municipality<\/summary>\n

Valga Municipal Council Decision No 74 of 28.09.2018. a<\/a> <\/path><\/svg><\/span>the preparation of a general plan and a strategic environmental impact assessment for Valga municipality was initiated. The main objective of the initiated planning is to define the principles and trends of spatial development of the whole territory of Valga municipality. The aim is to integrate the areas of Valga municipality into a coherently functioning environment that ensures the possibility of life and the balanced maintenance of the natural environment in all parts of the municipality, and to form an integrated system of living, economic, natural and cultural environments.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The principle of public participation and information<\/summary>\n

The local authority must ensure that the planning process is open to the public. Information on the planning procedure and planning must be available to all free of charge. The Valga municipality government informs the public about the stages of the Valga municipality general planning procedure and organises public exhibitions and public hearings during the planning process. The aim is to ensure adequate involvement. Notices related to the general plan are published on the website of Valga municipality, in the newspapers L\u00f5una-Eesti Postimees and Valga Teataja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
