The place of marriage is not linked to the place of residence of the spouses. The state fee can also be paid in cash at Valga municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aeg-ja-koht\">Time and place of marriage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-65e523f9 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:60%\">\n<p>The date and time of marriage registration is agreed when the application is submitted The marriage can be contracted between 1 and 6 months after the marriage application is submitted. In the municipality of Valga, marriages are performed at the municipality hall (Puiestee 8, Valga) and at the Valga Town Hall (Kesk 11, Valga).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When registering at the Town Hall, a hall fee of \u20ac50 will be added to the registration fee from Monday to Thursday, and \u20ac90 on Friday and Saturday. The room can accommodate a maximum of 20 people.  The fee for one hour is \u20ac40 and includes only the use of the room. Party catering can be ordered by the client. If you wish to use the room, you must notify the municipality at least two weeks before the date of the marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"abiellumispaeval\">On the wedding day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-65e523f9 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:60%\">\n<p>On the day of the wedding, the bride and groom are kindly requested to arrive no later than 15 minutes before the agreed time. You should bring valid identity documents and rings if you wish. A reasonable amount of time (up to 1 hour, depending on the number of guests) will be scheduled for each couple, which will include the marriage ceremony, congratulations and photos. The marriage is considered to have taken place from the moment the 'yes' is said. The marriage is entered in the civil register. For example, a marriage certificate may be required. In Estonia, the certificate is issued by the local authority in the county centre (Valga rural municipality), by the Tallinn Civil Status Office or by an Estonian consular officer in the area where the marriage is to take place.
