The birth of a child must be registered within one month of the child's birth. Births can be registered Population Register website<\/a> <\/path><\/svg><\/span>or submit an application to Valga municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The application for birth registration can be submitted by the child's legal representative, i.e. the parent or guardian. If the child's parents are married to each other, only one of them may register the birth. In this case, the other parent's written declaration of the child's name is required. Parents who are not married to each other must submit the application together on the spot (at Valga municipality or at a service centre).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
