Valga municipality pays operating grants to non-profit organisations providing social services or representing target groups in the social field. The eligible activity or right of representation must be one of the statutory activities of the non-profit organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An operating grant is foreseen for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. the part of the management and staff costs of the buildings occupied by the non-profit-making organisation which is not financed from other sources;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. organise events and campaigns;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. other expenditure accepted by the social committee.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Applications for operating grants must be submitted to the municipality by 1 December, together with the budget and justification of the need for the grant. The grant will be awarded for the following financial year. The decision is taken by the municipality, on a proposal from the Social Affairs Committee, at the latest within one month of the adoption of the municipal budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
