For a start-up entrepreneur, it is certainly important to be able to register a business.

You can use the Business Portal of the Business Register to apply for the registration of a new company, a self-employed person or a non-profit organisation, for changes to registration details, for winding up and for deletion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entrepreneur\u00a0<\/strong>is a natural person who provides goods or services in his own name for remuneration and the sale of goods and services is a regular occupation of that person, and is a company provided for by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Company <\/strong>are a general partnership, a limited partnership, a partnership limited by shares, a limited liability company and a profit-making partnership. The law may also provide for other types of company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company is registered\u00a0business register<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most popular form of company in Estonia is the limited liability company, which since 1 January 2011 can be established without making a share capital contribution. The precise rules for setting up a private limited company and other companies (including sole proprietorships) are set out in Commercial Code<\/a>. The other forms of company listed also have their advantages and it is important to look carefully at the different options before forming a company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
